Spread the love

The Miss International Africa 2017 winner, Ms. Awumah Akorfa Daniella under the marque of her self-founded charity organization known as The Akorfa Daniella Foundation (ADF) donates to Rhemar Ghana, a ministry of care and compassion for orphans at Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana. As part of the foundation’s vision and mission to love, help, comfort and impact the lives of the less fortunate in society, the beauty queen with her team visited and made some donations to the orphanage that is located at the heart of Ho, the Volta Regional capital on September 8, 2018

Arriving at the home at around 11:47 a.m, the team met the caretakers of the home with a lower number of the children as expected. Despite the decrease in the number of the children at the home which owes to the fact that some of the children were transferred to other branches of the home in the country, all sides jumped into a jocund atmosphere upon the arrival of the ADF team.

A heart-touching moment at the event was the cheerful spirit that the queen took to embrace every single child and the care takers of the home, and the excitement it brought to the children was so great.

Handing over the items for the donation to the caretaker and the leader of the children, the Miss International Africa 2017 took the chance to deliver words of blessings, encouragement and comfort to soothe the heart of the children and all present.

The items donated included; boxes of indomie, footwear, underwear, long and short sleeve shirts and many others. Toiletries such as boxes of ROXX washing powder, bar soaps, toilet rolls, YAZZ sanitary pads, YAZZ baby diapers and wipes, toothpastes and toothbrushes. The queen and her team also presented HOOCH exercise books, set of pens and pencils and erasers to aid and boost the academic work of the children. Forgetting not that water is life, the Akorfa Daniella Foundation also donated 25 bags of sachet water with a wide range of assorted foodstuffs.

At the end of the program, Ms. Akorfa Daniella and the ADF team took some time to interact with the children and also take some photos with them.  The children and their caretakers showed great appreciation to the Akorfa Daniella Foundation and used the opportunity to call on more hands, organizations, individuals, corporate and religious bodies to come to their aid following the footsteps of the Akorfa Daniella Foundation.

The Akorfa Daniella Foundation started in the year 2015 when Ms. Akorfa Daniella took girl child education empowerment as her tasked charity project during her participation in the Miss Ghana 2015 pageantry.
