Multi-award winning musician, Fuse ODG has stated emphatically that he is the most decorated Ghanaian artiste. The “BomBae” hitmaker has won a huge number of awards, which include VGMA, MOBO, MAMA, and even GRAMMY, hence making his claim factual.
His single “Antenna” peaked at number 7 on UK Singles Chart as well.
With all these achievements and more, the artiste is not so much concerned with gaining these feats. He’s rather focused on changing lives in his own way. In a recent meet-and-greet session with media personalities in Kumasi, he disclosed that even when presidents die, people don’t remember them for their personal properties, rather social interventions they did.
“Nobody talks about the car Obama was driving. Nobody talks about the car Kwame Nkrumah was driving. They talk about the lives they changed, and that’s the kind of person I aspire to be like. Not like he won a MOBO or Grammy. Rather, he built schools, and these successful doctors went to my school.”
Fuse ODG has already built a primary school for underprivileged kids (who don’t pay school fees), has started building a high school, and is with aim on building a university soon.
