BBnZ Live acts Ko-Jo Cue and Shaker have joined efforts, talent, creativity and everything in between to produce a full body of work for Hip-Hop enthusiasts in Ghana and around the world. Shaker who has been singing a lot lately, making hits such as “M’adakraa”, and gaining the title King Hook was influenced by his label mate Ko-Jo Cue to take it back to the days of rapping. Together, the two rap beasts have manufactured a 12-track album, with the title “Pen & Paper.”

When they dropped the first single off the project, thus the track titled “Pen & Paper”, social media went wild, in reaction to the brilliance of the video, lyricism and delivery displayed on it. It even got wilder when fans realized they’re getting a full body of work from the artistes. Speaking in an interview on Pulse Chat, the Oseikrom president, Ko-Jo disclosed that the title was inspired by the fact that before writing a rap song, you have to write the bars down using pen and paper. The album features “Odo” hitmaker KiDi, “Grind Day” crooner Kwesi Arthur, “My Baby” hitmaker Magnom, and Rumor, formerly of Skillions Records.

The album is currently up for pre-order for 10 cedis on aftownmusic.com and will be available for purchase on Saturday, 21st October, 2017. On the same day, that’s Saturday night, there’ll be a concert to officially launch the album at Alliance Francaise. Last year, the “Lavender” hitmaker Ko-Jo Cue staged a private concert dubbed “Cue for President” which was massively successful. We expect this year’s to be better and a ‘lituation’ situation.

The creative artistes will perform for the first time songs on the album, plus other hit songs of theirs. Other guests which shall be performing include the artistes featured on the album mentioned above. Also performing are Cina Soul, Kuami Eugene, B4Bonah, Gemini, Dope Nation, and a lot more surprise artistes. The event starts at 7 pm, and the rate is an affordable 30 cedis and 15 cedis for Alliance Francaise students. Tickets will be sold at the gate.
