Kofi Kinaata, D-Cryme & Other Rappers Turned Singers

The Ghana music industry has over the years seen most rappers with the likes of Grandpapa Reggie Rockstone, Lord Kenya, Obrafour, Sarkodie, just to mention a few. So if these rappers had to quit rap and start singing because they realise the competition isn’t something they can partake.

Our very own D-Cryme, the Twi-pop general.  In his early music career he started as a rapper from Somanya Technical school to Tema street was known as a rapper until he switched his style to join the singers and luckily he landed a hit song, `Kill Me Shy.` Thereafter, he has been singing till date.

Second person is the Fante rap god, Kofi Kinaata was also a known to be a rapper in the early stages of his career. Becoming a singer, equipped by his undisputed song writing skills, he has won many awards. I think it’s a good move.

Songstress Mildred Ashong under the stage name Eazzy also in the early stages of her career started rapping and called herself a rapper. She later joined Lynx Entertainment and started singing. Maybe the management wanted that but it has been a thoughtful idea for her career.

Feli Nuna please come clear with us, we want to know if you are now a singer because you always call yourself a rapper but the material you’ve been putting out recently indicate that you’re a rapper. No doubt you have a nice seductive voice and I doubt if it’s for singing. She has a latest tune tilted `Dream` check it out and see if she was rapping or singing.
