Ghanaian highlife music legend, Paapa Yankson was given a state burial service at the Statehouse in Accra, with President Nana Akufo-Addo in attendance.
The 73-year old who had been sick for quite a while passed on in his sleep at his Dansoman residence couple of weeks back.
The Late Paapa Yankson was regarded at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards whiles on his wheelchair and guaranteed to release an album until his demise.
Likewise present at the burial service was the Minister of Creative Arts, Madam Catherine Afeku, who read a tribute about the fallen oak tree.
The bereaved family of the late Paapa Yankson expressed gratitude toward the President and the Creative Arts Minister for fulfilling their promises as they paid their last respect.
His well known songs included “Wiase Mu Nsem”, “Show Your Love”, “Wo Yere Anaa Wo Maame”, and “Tena Menkyen.”
