One outstanding name that is connected to versatility and consistency in music is definitely Flowking Stone. Dropping hits after hits, his singles released so far this year and other features give an indication that he’ll be coming out with more collaborative efforts.
On May 25, he started teasing us with an artwork to his next single which features songstress, Adina with the title “One Love.” With these two great talents, one can only expect a promisingly great song. He gave hints of the single via his official Twitter profile, stating “#onelove is one of the sweetest jams on my album dropping this year. #onelove was inspired by the beauty of love. #onelove drops on the 1st of June. #onelove.”

Last year December, Rich Miller gave us a Christmas gift in the form of “The Steppin” mixtape. This year, Christmas came early. Our musical Santa Claus is here with an EP, as a follow-up to the previous tape, “NDILIDI” EP. The 8-track EP is a body of work full of fireworks. Rich Miller’s delivery is on another level. Within a year, the young and talented rapper has improved his rap skill.
NDILIDI is an abbreviation of RichMiller’s favourite catch phrase, “Nobody Do It Like I Do It”, Even though this body work is to captivate good music lovers, it touches on the reality of life. It is also more of soulful yet invigorating rap music that aims at impacting lives. The production on this project is so on point that it makes you want to push your ear buds further in, to hear every lyric and appreciate each element of instrument and sampled vocals. Production credits go to Phredxter, Krizick, A2Rbeatz and FabDIdIt. The man behind this sonic excellence is 1Kwame. “NDILIDI” is here to serve rap fans and music lovers at large.
In this era which the Ghanaian youth have ears for varieties of music genres regardless of the status of the artiste – mainstream or uprising, it is only right for Chief Kellz to give us what we deserve. Born Kelvin Yaw Yeboah, Chief Kellz is a young rapper and soangwriter who has 3 mixtapes to his credit, i.e. “Corrupt Minds, Pure Hearts” (2014), “Beauty and Hustle” (2015) and OV Da Roof (2017) which he launched at a lit-up balcony session on the 18th of February, 2017 at the Georgia Hostel 5th Floor Big Balcony on KNUST Campus.
The lyricist managed by BloodLine Recordings is set to unleash his latest project, “Trap Nights in Kentinkrono.” Chief Kellz disclosed to Steeze Hub,
“this is a soundtrack to a life on campus with topics from lost relationships, crime, sex and drug addiction among campus girls, a very unusual style of writing but that is Chief Kellz’ reality. Productions on the tape were handled by Apya, Yung Nana, Raven Montana, Bomba, Liquid Beatz and Perry Mingle.
This is more than your usual mixtape, with genres ranging from Trap, Hip Hop, Hip Life and Afro Beat sounds. Icebox comes with the infectious Breman – inspired rhymes and G-West gave us the vocals that can trigger a bad girl addiction. Bomba could not be left out with the consciousness of Rastafari and the spiritual sounds it comes with. Yung Nana blessed us with a beat and an unforgettable hook, Then TRPLRD came through reminding us of why the project is titled “Trap Nights In Kentinkrono.”
The 16-track mixtape (with 2 bonus songs) promises to satisfy your hunger and quench your music thirst. 20th December happens to be the blessed day Chief Kellz will let his music lovers enjoy this greatness. On Saturday, October 21, the BBnZ Live rappers, Ko-Jo Cue and Shaker staged a historical concert at Alliance Francaise. Releasing an album and having an album concert on the same day is something we don’t often see in Ghana. The love showed by fans for these artistes is exceptional. The 13-track “Pen & Paper” album was performed entirely on stage, with the featured artistes representing. Other artistes who thrilled fans included Pappy Kojo, KiDi, Kwame Eugene, B4Bonah, Magnom, Gemini, Darkovibes, Kiddblack, Cina Soul, and a lot more. The MC for the night was Kojo Manuel. One intriguing experience was when DJ Putin and DJ Lord had a live DJ battle. Check out photo highlights from the event below:

BBnZ Live acts Ko-Jo Cue and Shaker have joined efforts, talent, creativity and everything in between to produce a full body of work for Hip-Hop enthusiasts in Ghana and around the world. Shaker who has been singing a lot lately, making hits such as “M’adakraa”, and gaining the title King Hook was influenced by his label mate Ko-Jo Cue to take it back to the days of rapping. Together, the two rap beasts have manufactured a 12-track album, with the title “Pen & Paper.”
When they dropped the first single off the project, thus the track titled “Pen & Paper”, social media went wild, in reaction to the brilliance of the video, lyricism and delivery displayed on it. It even got wilder when fans realized they’re getting a full body of work from the artistes. Speaking in an interview on Pulse Chat, the Oseikrom president, Ko-Jo disclosed that the title was inspired by the fact that before writing a rap song, you have to write the bars down using pen and paper. The album features “Odo” hitmaker KiDi, “Grind Day” crooner Kwesi Arthur, “My Baby” hitmaker Magnom, and Rumor, formerly of Skillions Records.
The album is currently up for pre-order for 10 cedis on aftownmusic.com and will be available for purchase on Saturday, 21st October, 2017. On the same day, that’s Saturday night, there’ll be a concert to officially launch the album at Alliance Francaise. Last year, the “Lavender” hitmaker Ko-Jo Cue staged a private concert dubbed “Cue for President” which was massively successful. We expect this year’s to be better and a ‘lituation’ situation.
The creative artistes will perform for the first time songs on the album, plus other hit songs of theirs. Other guests which shall be performing include the artistes featured on the album mentioned above. Also performing are Cina Soul, Kuami Eugene, B4Bonah, Gemini, Dope Nation, and a lot more surprise artistes. The event starts at 7 pm, and the rate is an affordable 30 cedis and 15 cedis for Alliance Francaise students. Tickets will be sold at the gate.
So mark your calendar and gear up to be thrilled come Saturday with an intriguing experience. Remember to come with a friend.
