Emcee and producer Henry Deey finally gives us his long awaited body of work. As a Mechanical Engineering student, he combined his studies with music. Although he wasn’t able to put out his tape when in school, he found time to work on his craft. “Backstage” mixtape is the evidence. The 11-track mixtape features Kay-Ara, MELT, Kobby DDT and Jo Wayne. A whole percentage of the tape was produced by Henry himself. Enjoy!

After postponing the release date of “Like a Star 0.9” which was around last year, Ice Box has finally dropped the body of work.
Kumasi based artiste and the B.O Society front-liner “Ice Box” takes us through his life through his music, and this EP is not different.
His first track “Anyway”, the artist talks about the hustle to be successful in Ghana isn’t an easy task but regardless, he’s determined to make it by any means.
“Glory” which is number two on the EP is about him praying for his mum and working hard to be a winner to gain the glory.
In “Saint” he talks about disappointments from some ladies he knew from way back before he started gaining grounds and he talks about his bad habits too.
“Tomorrow” is the track he talks about future plans and how he’s grinding to meet all the plans made.
“A Man” talks about his enthusiasm to make things happen in life for him and his team.
He features his fellow music colleagues like Mr Jace, Jay Buzzles, Kwesi Kevin and his frequent collaborator Chief Kellz who released his latest tape “Trap Nights in Kentinkrono” last month.
Trap Nights In Kentinkrono is an 18-track mixtape with features from Icebox, Yung Nana, G-West, TRPLRD and Bomba, all upcoming acts.
This is a soundtrack to a life on campus with topics from lost relationships, crime, sex and drug addiction amongst campus girls, a very unusual style of writing but that is Chief Kellz’ reality. Productions on the tape were handled by Apya, Yung Nana, Raven Montana, Bomba, Liquid Beatz and Perry Mingle.
This is more than your usual mixtape with genres ranging from Trap, Hip-Hop, Hiplife and Afrobeat sounds. Icebox comes with the infectious Breman-inspired rhymes, as G-West gave us the vocals that can trigger a bad girl addiction. Bomba could not be left out with the consciousness of Rastafari and the spiritual sounds it comes with. Yung Nana blessed us with a beat and an unforgettable hook, Then TRPLRD came through reminding us of why the project is titled “Trap Nights In Kentinkrono.”
Last year December, Rich Miller gave us a Christmas gift in the form of “The Steppin” mixtape. This year, Christmas came early. Our musical Santa Claus is here with an EP, as a follow-up to the previous tape, “NDILIDI” EP. The 8-track EP is a body of work full of fireworks. Rich Miller’s delivery is on another level. Within a year, the young and talented rapper has improved his rap skill.
NDILIDI is an abbreviation of RichMiller’s favourite catch phrase, “Nobody Do It Like I Do It”, Even though this body work is to captivate good music lovers, it touches on the reality of life. It is also more of soulful yet invigorating rap music that aims at impacting lives. The production on this project is so on point that it makes you want to push your ear buds further in, to hear every lyric and appreciate each element of instrument and sampled vocals. Production credits go to Phredxter, Krizick, A2Rbeatz and FabDIdIt. The man behind this sonic excellence is 1Kwame. “NDILIDI” is here to serve rap fans and music lovers at large.

Paapa, has been off our update list for a while after dropping Songs for Kuukua some years back. Paapa is well known for his great artistry and creativity. I mean, who makes a beautiful song out of the term “pure water?” His new instalment proves nothing but a classic as Alexander Kwakye details it in this review.
In Paapa’s own words, he utters “this is a 5-track project with sober, minimal but hopeful songs recorded in the comfort (and inconvenience) of my bedroom. Production by Paapa, mixing and mastering by Jayso, powered by Skillions Records.” He shares emotionally, “I’m glad this is now in your hands and ears. I hope you listen to it closely, feel deeply, and share freely. Stay tuned for Vol. 2, and make sure you’re on my mailing list – you don’t want to miss out on new music and exclusives! I appreciate you.”
