The young Ghanaian US soldier about whom news broke recently for making Ghana proud through music and philanthropy in the States is soon to hit the screens with his appearance in the popular American TV series titled Hawaii Five-O. The TV series which started in 2010 and have a total of about a 1908 series casts will see the young Ghanaian joining in the 9th season as a police trainee in the Police Academy who is learning what it takes to be a police officer. The season is set to be released in September 2018.
About the Movie
Created by Peter M. Lenkov, Leonard Freeman and Alex Kurtzman, Hawaii Five-O is an American action police procedural television series that premiered on Monday, September 20, 2010, on CBS. The series is the re-imagining of the original series which aired on CBS from 1968 to 1980. Like the original series, the show follows an elite state police task force set up to fight major crimes in the state of Hawaii. The task force answers only to the call of the Governor of the state of Hawaii and is given full immunity and means. The team investigates crimes ranging from terrorism to kidnapping, as well as murder and robberies. The show which won the Favorite New TV Drama at the 37th People’s Choice Awards in 2011 won several other awards over the years. The show was also in the Guinness World Records 2012 for the “Highest-Rated New Show In The U.S” with a record of 19.34 million viewers for its January 23, 2011 episode, Kai e’e. The show had a massive positive effect on Hawaii’s economy as businesses that were featured in the episodes saw rise in sales and there was an increase in visits to Hawaii site by tourists as based on viewing the series.

With a lot of Ghanaians making waves in the international movie scene, Solomon’s appearance in the soon-to-come season 9 of the Hawaii Five-O series becomes a plus and a pride to Ghana. Like the big names such as Peter Mensah, Boris Kodjoe, Joey Ansah, Abraham Attah, Freema Agyemang and the more others, we look forward to see Solomon Ennin who hails from Tarkwa in the Western Region pick up supporting and leading roles in international movies and also stare in more shows. He is the founder of We Can Foundation, a charitable organization that seeks to improve the living condition of those living in deprived rural and peri-urban areas. He has to his credit two music albums and a music video titled “Higher”. He attended the Columbus State Community College and the Ohio School for Phlebotomy.
