American rapper, Cardi B was in Ghana to grace a concert put together by LiveSpot, and this brought so much attention to the nation as well as joy, as fans look forward to meeting the adored star but arrival of the American rap queen has not gone as planned. Before her performance, which was scheduled to be in the evening of 8th December, the organisers thought it would be nice to have her meet and greet a few music and media women to interact and share ideas. Wendy Shay, Becca, Lydia Forson, Juliet Ibrahim, Akuapem Polo, Afia Schwarzeneger were all part of the group to meet her.
Cardi B came out to say, she was not made aware of any meeting and had no prior knowledge of it, hence her absence from the proposed meet-and-greet session. She proceeded to meet the rest who had stayed and not left as well talk to the press. The issue has got most stars such as Shatta Wale, Archipalago, and Fela Makafui all voicing their views and even having a dig at the ladies.
Before her trip to Ghana, Cardi B was in Nigeria where she had a very successful event as well as hangout. She went out with Tiwa Savage and Naira Marley and there was no incidence. This has made Nigerians troll Ghanaians on social media.
The big debate here is, who is to blame? Should it be the organisers, as Cardi B says she was not aware of the meeting or Cardi B herself for belittling the prominent women in our industry?
